How can one symbol represent the identity of Amsterdam — its culture, history, and unique character — in a way that feels authentic and timeless?

I designed a logo inspired by Amsterdam’s core elements—water, bridges, cycling, tulips, and cultural heritage—resulting in a simple, expressive mark that reflects the city’s identity.

I started by looking at what makes Amsterdam feel like Amsterdam—its canals, bridges, bikes, tulips, and cultural character. The goal was to find visual elements that felt recognizable without making the logo feel too literal.
